Taxonomy Comments: F. cymosa ssp. cymosa is widespread in the Old World tropics of Africa, Asia, and Oceania; it has 3-carpellate gynoecia (with 3 styles) as opposed to F. cymosa ssp. spathacea with its 2-carpellate gynoecia with 2 styles.
