Amorpha canescens Pursh. Leadplant. Phen: May-Aug (-Sep). Hab: Prairies, calcareous glades, exposed bluffs, dry open woodlands and oak savannas, pastures. Dist: S. MI west to se. MT, south to IN, AR, LA, TX, and NM.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: The attribution of this species to e. and c. Texas is based on atypical plants that may represent a different taxon (A. Black, pers. comm., 2023)
