Hymenocallis pygmaea Traub. Pygmy Spiderlily, Waccamaw Spiderlily. Phen: May-Jun; Jun-Jul. Hab: Banks of blackwater rivers. Dist: Se. NC south to ne. SC, perhaps endemic to the Waccamaw and Pee Dee river drainages, where locally abundant.

ID notes: Strikingly different in appearance from H. crassifolia.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Synonymy: = FNA26, K3, K4, Smith & Garland (2003); = n/a – RAB; < Hymenocallis palmeri S.Watson – K1; < Hymenocallis sp. ? – GW1
