Allium oxyphilum Wherry. Phen: Aug. Hab: Shale barrens, on strongly acidic shales. Dist: Endemic to a small area of WV (Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe, and Summers counties) and VA (Alleghany and Craig counties).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Although there has been much discussion of its taxonomic status, it is apparently distinct from A. cernuum.

Synonymy: = K1, K3, K4, Va; < Allium cernuum Roth – C, F, FNA26, G, W
