Asplenium auritum Swartz. Eared Spleenwort. Phen: Jan-Dec. Hab: Epiphytic in hammocks, strand swamps, especially on Quercus virginiana, Fraxinus cubensis, and Annona glabra. Dist: FL peninsula (north to Flagler County); West Indies; Mexico (CHP, HGO, OAX, PUE, QRO, SLP, TAB, VER) south through Central America to South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: "A detailed biosystematic study of the complex … is needed" (Kessler & Smith 2018).
