Hab: Well-drained floodplain forests, other mesic to dry-mesic forests, especially over base-rich substrates. Dist: NB west to MN and SD, south to VA, TN, MS, LA, and TX. {habitats, distribution and abundance in our area needing additional herbarium investigation}
