Carex leavenworthii Dewey. Section: [26d] Section 4.0 Phaestoglochin. Leavenworth’s Sedge. Phen: May-Jun. Hab: Dry forests, especially in sandy soils. Dist: NY, ON, and NE south to Panhandle FL and TX. Reported for DE (Longbottom, Naczi, & Knapp 2016), and considered "likely non-native" there.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
