Hab: Bottomland forests, other wet forests and damp prairies, oak flatwoods, (in VA) in seasonally wet meadow in former railroad yard. Dist: Native range from s. IL, n. MO, and e. KS south through AR and OK to e. TX. See Simmons, Strong, & Parrish (2008) for additional information on the Virginia occurrence.
