Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Perhaps warranting species rank (C. Bryson, pers. comm., 2019). Naczi (1999b) reported a chromosome number of n = 24.

Synonymy: = Ar, ETx1, FNA23, K3, K4, Va; = Carex digitalis Willd. var. asymmetrica Fernald – F, K1; < Carex digitalis Willd. – C, G, RAB, S, Tx, W, WH3, Mackenzie (1931-1935)
