Crataegus ×minor E.J. Palmer. Small-leaf Ouachita Hawthorn. Phen: Apr; Oct-Nov. Hab: Brushy woodlands, rocky ridges and slopes. Dist: Endemic to the Ouachita Mountain region of AR.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Occasionally sympatric with C. ouachitensis, but leaves differ in being dimensionally broader, densely villous in spring and with an occasional lateral main vein extending to a sinus. Assumed an interserial hybrid of C. ouachitensis and C. marshallii, which renders the original varietal status incorrect. An accurate binomial is currently under evaluation.

Synonymy: = Crataegus minor E.J.Palmer; = Crataegus ouachitensis E.J.Palmer var. minor E.J.Palmer – FNA9; = Crataegus species 1
