ID notes:The abaxial surface of the leaves are thickly pubescent in spring.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Assumed to be of hybrid origin and similar to C. ×atrorubens Ashe in being part of a complex of Virides - Molles interserial hybrids named from 1900 to 1922 from the region of MO, AR and TX.

Synonymy: = Crataegus poliophylla – Tx, Phipps, O’Kennon, & Lance (2003)
