ID notes:The spring growth is densely pubescent or canescent and leaves are rhombic-elliptic and sharply serrate.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This ambiguous taxon is poorly known and represented by few collections. It is suspected of being of interserial hybrid origin involving Crataegus collina.

Synonymy: = Lance (2014); = Crataegus spes-aestatum – FNA9; = n/a – Il; < Crataegus viridis L. var. viridis – K3
