Cuscuta pentagona Engelmann. Subgenus: Grammica. Five-angled Dodder. Phen: May-Nov. Hab: Roadsides, fields, open disturbed areas, on a wide variety of (mostly herbaceous) hosts, especially Fabaceae. Dist: MA, NY, MI, MN, MB, and MT south to FL, TX, and Mexico.
