Equisetum ×jesupii (A.A. Eaton) Christenhusz & Husby. Jesup's Horsetail. Hab: Wet thickets, bogs, shores. Dist: NL west to AK, south to n. NJ, s. OH, c. IL, WY, ID, and OR.

ID notes:Generally 3-5 dm tall, the stems 4-5 mm in diameter and firm when compressed.
