Reported introduction in SC, GA, and PA (Kartesz 1999), and as a ballast plant for se. PA (Philadelphia) (Rhoads & Klein 1993, as P. acroanthum Steudel).

Taxonomy Comments: Panicum bisulcatum is not a Panicum, and may be a Sacciolepis (Zuloaga et al. 2018).
