Salvia lyrata Linnaeus. Lyreleaf Sage, Cancer-weed. Phen: (Dec-) Apr-May; (Feb-) May-Jul. Hab: Hammocks, lawns, roadsides, dry to mesic woodlands and forests, floodplains, calcareous barrens. Dist: CT west to MO, south to FL and TX.
