Solidago odora Aiton. Subgenus: Triactis. Section: Odorae. Licorice Goldenrod. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Dry forests and woodlands, especially in dry pinelands, such as sandhills, of the Coastal Plain, inland in dry, fire-maintained sites, such as glades, barrens, and ridgetop pine-oak woodlands. Dist: NH, VT, NY, OH, and MO south to FL and TX.
