Spiranthes bightensis M.C. Pace. Atlantic Ladies'-tresses. Phen: Late Sep-early Nov. Hab: Maritime grasslands, dune swales, sphagnous lake and pond margins. Dist: Long Island, NY, south to VA (eastern shore).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: See Pace (2021) for detailed discussion. S. bightensis is derived from ancestral hybridization of S. cernua × odorata and is now a lineage independent from both original parents. The cultivar 'Chadds Ford' is this species.
