Dennstaedtia Bernhardi. Subfamily: Dennstaedtioideae. Cuplet Fern.
A genus of about 45 species, of tropical to temperate distribution. Anatomical and molecular evidence suggest that Dennstaedtia is polyphyletic and will likely be split into 2 or more genera. Dennstaedtia punctilobula is best placed in Sitobolium; it is the type species of the genus Sitobolium (Perrie, Shepherd, & Brownsey 2015). New World tropical species are likely best placed in Patania.
