Crataegus laevigata (Poiret) A.P. de Candolle. Woodland Hawthorn. Phen: Apr-May; Sep-Oct. Hab: Woodlands, ruderal areas. Dist: Native of Europe. Reported from PA; sparingly naturalized in the northwestern U.S.

ID notes: The blunt leaf lobes and presence of 2-3 styles and pyrenes easily separate this species from the related European species C. monogyna.
