Dicranopteris flexuosa (Schrader) Underwood. Common name: Drooping Forked-fern. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Wet pine flatwoods, moist disturbed areas, ditch banks; apparently a native waif or adventive in our area, individual occurrences often not persisting for long. Distribution: FL Panhandle (Bay and Franklin counties) and FL peninsula, s. AL (Mon Louis Island, Mobile County); West Indies; s. Mexico (CHP, OAX, TAB, VER), Central America, and South America. The AL occurrences were discussed by Keener et al. (2024).
