*Juncus inflexus Linnaeus. Common name: European Meadow Rush. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Seep and calcareous wet meadows, usually over limestone or dolomite, disturbed wet or moist ground. Distribution: Native of Eurasia.
ID notes: Among species of section Genuini (species with lateral inflorescence), J. inflexus is easily distinguished by the relatively large and dark capsule, and densely stooling inflorescence.
