Carex albicans Willdenow ex Sprengel var. albicans. Section: [26bbb] Section 39 Acrocystis. Common name: White-tinged Sedge, Architectural Sedge. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Dry woodlands, forests, and clearings. Distribution: ME west to IL, and OK, south to DE, NC, SC, n. GA (Jones & Coile 1988), TN, and MO.
