Carex bicknellii Britton. Common name: Bicknell’s Sedge. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Dry prairies, eastwards (SC) in prairie-like openings and barrens over gabbro or serpentine. Distribution: ME west to SK, south to DE, OH, MO, OK, and NM; disjunct in nc. SC (where first reported by Hill & Horn 1997).
