Carex crinita Lamarck var. brevicrinis Fernald. Section: [26r] Section 13 Phacocystis. Common name: Short-fringed Sedge. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Swamps, wet forests, and a wide range of other wetlands. Distribution: MA south to FL, west to TX, north in the interior to KY and MO.
