Carex emmonsii Dewey ex Torrey. Section: [26bbb] Section 39 Acrocystis. Common name: Emmons’s Sedge. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, maritime forests, wet pine flatwoods, mesic or dry upland forests, sandy woodlands. Distribution: NS west to ON and WI, south to SC, GA, AL, MS, and AR.
