Carex gigantea Rudge. Common name: Giant Sedge. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Swamps, bottomland forests, cypress depressions. Distribution: DE south to s. FL, west to e. TX, north in the interior to nw. GA (Jones & Coile 1988), IN and OK.
