Carex laevivaginata (Kükenthal) Mackenzie. Common name: Smooth-sheathed Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun (-Aug). Habitat: Marshes, swamp forests, alluvial forests. Distribution: MA, MI, and MN, south to Panhandle FL, AL, and MO.
