Carex austrolucorum (J. Rettig) D.B. Poindexter & Naczi. Common name: Appalachian Woodland Sedge. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Xeric to mesic wooded slopes, usually in oak forests and northern hardwood forests. Distribution: Sw. VA, s. WV, e. KY south to nw. SC, n. GA and ne. AL.
