*Carex leporina Linnaeus. Section: [26q] Section 12 Ovales. Common name: Egg-bracted Sedge. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Grassy balds, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Eurasia, and the west coast of North America. Known to range in North America from NL (Newfoundland) and NY south to w. NC and ne. TN.
