Carex scabrata Schweinitz. Common name: Eastern Rough Sedge. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Seepage slopes, forested seeps, brook-banks, often in shade. Distribution: NS west to MI, south to NJ, n. GA, OH, and n. IN; disjunct in sw. MO.
