Carex stricta Lamarck. Common name: Tussock Sedge, Upright Sedge. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Bog, sedge meadows, seep, swamps, depression pond, old beaver ponds. Distribution: QC and NS west to MB, south to GA, AL, MS, and TX.
