Carex tuckermanii F. Boott. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Calcareous swampy forests and wet meadows. Distribution: NB and MN south to WV, sc. PA, NJ, MD, and IL. A report for Alleghany County, NC appears to be erroneous.
