Carex alopecoidea Tuckerman. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Seasonally saturated situations, typically over calcareous substrates. Distribution: NS west to SK, south to DC, MD, WV, KY, e. TN, and IA (Standley in FNA 2002b).
