Carex retrorsa Schweinitz. Section: [26qq] Section 30 Vesicariae. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Bottomland forests and nutrient-rich moist forests. Distribution: NB and BC, south to n. NJ, sc. PA, IL, UT; reported, apparently erroneously, for DE and MD.
