not marked as a favorite taxon Agrostis altissima (Walter) Tuckerman. Common name: Coastal Bog Bentgrass. Phenology: Oct-Nov. Habitat: Wet pine savannas, sinkhole ponds, edges of swamp forests. Distribution: MA (?) and NJ south to se. LA, primarily on the Coastal Plain.
