Agrostis perennans (Walter) Tuckerman. Common name: Upland Bent, Autumn Bentgrass. Phenology: Apr-May; Aug-Nov. Habitat: Mesic to dry forests, woodlands, barrens, clearings, disturbed areas, and also in a variety of wetlands such as bogs, fens, seepage swamps, and depressions. Distribution: NL (Newfoundland) west to MN, south to n. FL and TX; c. Mexico south to c. South America.
