Anatherum longiberbe (Hackel) Vorontsova & E.A. Kellogg. Common name: Longbeard Bluestem. Phenology: Sep-Oct (-Aug). Habitat: Dry sandy soils of sandhills and dunes, calcareous wet pinelands and dry pine rocklands (this may be another new species, under study). Distribution: Se. NC south to s. and w. FL; Bahamas.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: The Florida plants in calcareous situations may represent an undescribed species.
