Bouteloua gracilis (Willdenow ex Kunth) Lagasca y Segura ex Griffiths. Common name: Blue Grama. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Prairie, eastward in disturbed areas. Distribution: ON west to BC, south through c. and w. United States into Mexico (where widespread). Reported for SC (Gould 1979), but this is from a planting at an agricultural experiment station.
