Bromus latiglumis (Shear) A.S. Hitchcock. Phen: Aug-Oct. Hab: Alluvial soils along rivers. Dist: ME to MT, south to NC and OK.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Other Comments: Flowering many weeks later than co-occurring B. pubescens. In NC apparently only along large rivers flowing west through the Appalachians into the Mississippi River drainage, notably the New and the French Broad.
