Cenchrus myosuroides Kunth. Common name: Big Sandspur. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Shell middens, maritime hammocks, coastal berms, roadsides, disturbed areas. Distribution: SC south to FL, west to TX; West Indies; Mexico to South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
