Dichanthelium boscii (Poiret) Gould & C.A. Clark. Common name: Bosc's Witchgrass. Phenology: Apr-Sep. Habitat: In a variety of shaded to partially open mesic to dry woodlands (oak-hickory). Also, occasionally in a variety of fields, powerlines, clearcuts, glades, barrens, rocky woodlands, creeksides, ravines, and (less commonly) floodplains. Distribution: MA and IL south to n. FL and e. TX.
