Dichanthelium curtifolium (Nash) LeBlond. Common name: Short-leaved Witchgrass. Phenology: Apr-Sep. Habitat: Bogs, sphagnous streamhead swamps, mountain streams, marl meadows. Distribution: Disjunctly distributed in w. VA, w. NC and e. TN, e. SC, FL, and MS

ID notes: The combination of characters is quite distinctive for the genus in our region.
