Dichanthelium breve (Hitchcock & Chase) LeBlond. Common name: Short Witchgrass. Habitat: Florida scrub. Distribution: Endemic to c. and s. FL, relatively common on the Lake Wales Ridge in Polk and Highlands counties, but less common on the Atlantic Coastal Ridge of se. FL.
