Dinebra panicoides (J. Presl) P.M. Peterson & N. Snow. Common name: Amazon Sprangletop. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Swamps, wet areas, drawdown habitats on lake margins and in river channels. Distribution: Native of Central and South America, and possibly North America. Belden et al. (2004) discuss the VA occurrences along the banks of the Roanoke (Staunton) River at Kerr Reservoir. Also reported for e. GA in the Coastal Plain (Sorrie, pers. comm.) and SC (Richland County) (Bradley et al. [in prep.]). Reported for sw. MO (Cedar County) by Daines et al. (2022).
