Muhlenbergia bushii Pohl. Common name: Bush's Muhly, Nodding Muhly. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Wet oak flatwoods, bottomlands, and other (at least seasonally) moist forests, especially over calcareous substrates. Distribution: IN west IA, south to NE and TX; apparently disjunct eastward in scattered localities, including VA. The LA specimen is apparently questionable.
