Pascopyrum smithii (Rydberg) Á. Löve. Western Wheatgrass. Phen: May-Jul (-Sep). Hab: Prairies, eastwards in disturbed areas. Dist: ON and BC south to AR, TX, NM, AZ, CA, and Mexico (CHH, COA, SLP, ZAC). Reported for ne. GA (Rabun County) by Jones & Coile (1988), as Agropyron smithii Rydberg. It is also reported for TN and KY (Kartesz 1999).
