Paspalum distichum Linnaeus. Common name: Joint Paspalum, Knotgrass. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Brackish (especially oligohaline) and freshwater marshes, interdune swales and marshes, waterfowl impoundments. Distribution: New Jersey, Kansas, and Washington south to s. Florida, s. Texas, s. California, and through the New World; apparently introduced in the Old World. Reported for s. Indiana by Bill Thomas (pers.comm., 2022).
