not marked as a favorite taxon Patis racemosa (Smith) Romaschenko, P.M. Peterson, & Soreng. Common name: Blackseed Ricegrass, Mountain Ricegrass. Phenology: Late Jun-Aug (-Sep). Habitat: Calcareous and mafic woodlands and forests, especially where rocky. Distribution: Québec and Ontario west to North Dakota, south to w. Virginia, e. Tennessee (FNA; Kartesz 2010; A. Floden, pers. comm., 2016), sc. Kentucky, sc. Missouri, and e. Nebraska.
