Erianthus brevibarbis Michaux. Common name: Short-bearded Plume Grass. Phenology: Sep-Oct. Habitat: Marsh, ditches. Distribution: SC south to n. FL, west to AR, e. OK, and e. TX; disjunct in s. IL. Reports from NC appear to be in error.
